Crushgasm: Jessi Arrington

In our newest feature, Crushgasm, we’ll be giving you a little peek at some of our go-to people for design inspiration. These are all people who cause us to suffer from an overwhelming case of The Jealousies, and if they aren’t already on your radar-of-awesomeness, we’re happy to be the ones to introduce you.

First up is Jessi Arrington, a super talented graphic designer and overall delightful color explosion. Her blog, Lucky So and So, is a chronicle of color, design, flea markets, and living passionately. She’s the lady who spent a year researching and writing about the color pink, and she just recently organized a rainbow parade for her 32 birthday, which are only two small reasons why following her online is so much fun.

One of her best projects came in March of this year, at TEDActive in Palm Springs, where she showed up for the event with nothing more than seven pairs of rainbow-colored underwear and a mission: to buy all of her other clothing for the week once she arrived, shopping exclusively at thrift stores, and then giving everything away before returning home. Week’s Worth of Undies was born, and Jessi showed off some incredible (and inexpensive!) outfits.

In addition to Week’s Worth of Undies, she’s also been know to curate projects such as Closet Shares, where a single item of clothing is sent from person to person, almost like a fashionable chain letter, and it’s each person’s job to show the item a good time, dryclean it, and pass it on.

Amazing, right?
